Social Game is a topic I learnt during my master degree. It rests on 2 basic ideas, namely as Grid and Group.
Grid is referring to rules and guidelines that people may following in their daily lives.
Group is referring to how people is adhering to a group of people in the context of family, school, company, community...etc.
Some people may have a higher degree to keep rules/guidelines, then we call it "high grid".
Some people may have a higher degree to keep a group intact, then we call it "high group".
There is no absolute right or wrong when we talk about Grid and Groups. It is always a matter of choice and preferences. Typically, our choices are being formed during our brought up in our families.
In order to better understand behaviors of a person, it is interesting to first understand his/her inclination towards Grid/Group. It can be playing a huge impact on this person's interactions and communications with the people in different contexts.
Social Game is a very useful tool when we want to have better relationships with the people surrounding us.
